As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will be an integral part of our sales team, responsible for conceiving the right solution for our customers on the Databricks or Snowflake platforms. You will need to have an in-depth knowledge of these platforms and understanding of supporting tools and technologies that will help you to demonstrate the capabilities of these platforms. Roles and Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end presales solutioning activities and outcomes.
Lead assessment and strategy engagements for clients that may be trying to modernize an on-prem data platform, align their data initiative to business outcomes, or revamp a Data & AI operating model.
Work directly with client stakeholders in partnership with the sales team to understand the scope of a project, estimating effort, designing future state architecture, and developing statements of work.
Develop a technical sales strategy by considering need Vs. want, client’s ability and root cause.
Conduct ideation workshops either in person or virtually to help clients understand the art of the possible.
Configure and effectively demonstrate / illustrate the solutions that address requirements.
Understand and convey business value in the solution.
Writing solution design documents to be reviewed by delivery to ensure client success.
Articulate business value as part of a technology initiative.
Work hand in hand with the delivery Leader in post-sales stages.
Develop offerings relevant to industries and emerging trends.
Own and deliver outstanding presentations and demonstrations to individual clients and groups of prospective clients.
Provide thought leadership in the form of blogs, technical ideation for Lirik’s new offerings, and solutions for client’s problems across various verticals.
Constantly help improve Lirik’s pre-sales and technical sales processes and activities to improve the client experience and our internal sales metrics.
Key Skills Required:
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
8-10 years in IT pre-sales with with 5+ years in data platforms like (Databricks and Snowflake).
2+ years with previous experience estimating, designing, and developing roadmaps for data & AI customer engagements, in a pre-sales capacity.
Previous experience in Technology Strategy or Advisory within an established consulting firm
Experience with architecting Data Products, Data Mesh, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake implementations for customers and an understanding of a major public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with Spark, SQL, and Python
Ability to travel within the US and Canada
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level storyteller.
Experience delivering client-focused solutions aligned to customer current and future needs.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
Experience diving deeper into solution architecture and design.
The role requires travel to customer sites in the USA.
Nice to have: Databricks and/or Snowflake Certifications.
Qualifications:
Experience: 8-10 years in IT pre-sales and 5+ years experience with data platforms (Databricks and Snowflake), data warehouses, data engineering, GenAI, data science.
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
