Title: Financial Director

Location: Bay Area, CA, USA

Seeking a Financial Director in the San Francisco Bay Area, California to oversee financial strategy and planning, ensure compliance with international standards, and develop financial systems. Responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, managing budgets, and preparing reports. Requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in financial systems, GAAP, and J-SOX/SOX. Compensation: $262,210.00 to $280,000.00 annually.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversee financial strategy and planning for company
Develop financial integration systems to ensure adherence with international financial standards and compliance with financial standards and policies of parent company in Japan
Analyze, develop, and modify financial and accounting processes and procedures
Design and implement internal control systems to ensure full and accurate disclosure of financial information in compliance with J-SOX
Analyze company financial performance and risks
Identify ways to increase profitability
Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports
Manage company budgets
Work with external financial organizations and auditors
Prepare financial forecast and keep parent company apprised of financial status

Key Skills Required:

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field of study and three years of experience in financial systems or Bachelor’s degree and five years of post-baccalaureate and progressive experience in financial systems.
Three years of work experience with international financial system design, GAAP, J-SOX/SOX, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
